Claudia Sanna Design Special Projects

Special Projects

During my years at Gucci, I contributed to a series of special projects that redefined the boundaries of jewelry design through cross-house collaborations.

These collections – created in partnership with iconic brands such as Balenciaga and Adidas – merged distinct creative identities into bold, innovative pieces.

From runway statements to commercial accessories, each project explored new dialogues between fashion, jewelry, and culture, highlighting the power of collaboration as a driver of contemporary luxury design.

GUCCI-ADIDAS - Fall 2022

For the Fall 2022 collection, the Gucci x Adidas collaboration introduced a commercial jewelry line that translated sportswear codes into playful accessories.

The range featured enamel hair clips and headbands in bright retro colors, adorned with crystal stars and the Trefoil logo alongside Gucci lettering.

Silver rings and cuffs engraved with both houses’ emblems completed the offering.

Designed with a bold yet accessible aesthetic, these pieces brought the collaboration into everyday wear, reinforcing the fusion of athletic heritage and luxury craftsmanship.

GUCCI-BALENCIAGA - Resort 2022 + Fall 2021

For the Aria runway show, Gucci unveiled a collaboration with Balenciaga, where jewelry became a powerful medium of dialogue between the two maisons.

The collection reimagined classic Gucci chains and crystal-set charms with Balenciaga lettering, oversized logos, and playful cube beads in signature red and green.

Necklaces, chokers, bracelets, and earrings transformed branding into statement adornments, merging maximalist identity with bold irony.

These hybrid pieces blurred the boundaries between fashion and jewelry, embodying the disruptive spirit of the Aria collection and setting a new precedent for cross-house creativity in luxury accessories.
